Red Fife is a heritage or heirloom wheat, considered to be one of Canada's oldest wheat varieties. It has not undergone the hybridization of modern wheats. It is a favourite of artisan bakers due to its exceptional flavour and baking properties. It is excellent for making artisan bread,bagels, pizza dough, crackers, pancakes, waffles and a variety of sourdough and soaked baked goods.
All of our flours contain the entire seed or berry. Nothing added, nothing taken away- No industrial processing and no strange ingredients.
