This delicious mix is made from fresh stone-ground buckwheat we grow organically here in Prince Edward County, ON. Buckwheat is the seed of a flowering fruit that is related to rhubarb and is completely gluten-free.
One of the reasons we chose to grow buckwheat was because of its numerous health benefits.
Another reason we grow buckwheat is that honey bees pollinate the tiny white buckwheat flowers. Our fall honey is a rich dark blend of buckwheat and goldenrod.
Each package contains two batches of whichever recipe you choose (except the protein power cookies which can make six batches)
*We meet all of the requirements set out by Health Canada's regulatory requirements for “gluten-free” foods. A lab analysis showed <5 ppm of gluten in a random sample of our buckwheat flour (Health Canada Standards allow for up to 20 ppm to be considered “gluten-free”).
